콜롬보에서 개최된 WCC 국제 에큐메니칼 협의회에서 이주노동자와 인신매매에 관련한 회의에 참석하게 됨을 감사드립니다. 세계 이주노동자의 정의를 위해 한국기독교장로회 총회가 정의평화부서에서 더 많은 계획과 노력을 기울일 것입니다. 주님의 평화가 모든 이들과 함께하기를 기도합니다.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in the work of Justice and Peace in God’s World,
It is my pleasure and privilege to be here with you in Colombo, doing this very important work for justice and human rights. Our God calls us to attend to the needs of the weakest among us, and especially to give support to the stranger and the alien.
I bring greetings to you from the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea. Our people stand strongly on behalf of justice for the migrants, and look for ways to reduce the need for migrancy, as we search for peace, for stabilization of the climate and the natural world, for economic justice, for global gender justice. The prayers of the PROK are with the work of this consultation, and our Justice and Peace Department will certainly study the action plans coming out of it, so that our congregations will be able to support this ongoing work. God be with you all.
