Dear friends of Evangelical Mission in Solidarity:
It is our great pleasure from one of your partners, the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea (PROK) to send our warmest wishes for success and congratulations to our brother, the Rev. Jurgen Reichel at this time of his induction into the position of General Secretary of EMS.
We have had very warm family relations with EMS over the years, and rejoice to be in solidarity with you and your work. We take to heart to words that your press release recorded that Rev. Reichel spoke as he preached on the Wedding Banquet Parable. “That is mission. That is Jesus' mission to this world: that we abandon ourselves in order to be there for others."
It is our joy to be a part of this mission fellowship, which has a long history in Global Mission and Solidarity, and, with its newly instituted vision, has a long road ahead, which we will walk in the love of Jesus and the strength of the Spirit. We indeed are Companions on the Journey.
