당신을 품으시고, 희망으로 당신을 회복시키시는 위로의 하나님께 기도드립니다. 우리 PROK 필리핀태풍피해복구선교봉사단은 절망의 현장에 서 있습니다.
인간의 탐욕으로 인해 기후가 변화되었고 그 영향으로 필리핀의 많은 이들이 큰 고통을 받게 되었습니다. 우리는 이러한 아픔과 절망의 상황을 이끌어낸 상황에 맞서서 생명, 정의와 희망을 재건할 것입니다. 그리고 생명의 하나님의 평화가 이곳에 계신 모든 분에게 함께하기를 기도합니다.

My dear friends in Christ, we pray for the God of consolation to hold you and renew your lives in hope.
I bring warm greetings to you from our people in Korea, who are very aware of your plight, along with assurances of the prayers of our people, I also want to express my very deep gratitude that you have received us here in Tacloban at this time.
It is a deep privilege for the PROK staff and volunteers to be here to share your lives at this moment which history has thrust upon you.
This community and so many others in Philippines have been caught in a web of complications which has been created by the sinfulness of humankind. In this time in the history of the world there is great suffering, in Philippines and in many other places, caused by the human greed, and all around us we can see the results, as the earth groans and quakes from what has been called Extreme Climate Impact. The earth and all of its creatures are now crying out to God.
God hears, and through God, a community of support forms in solidarity for relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction. This is our desire as we stand here today - to support this community as you deal with the tragic situation you have been plunged into.
But this is only one aspect of the role we see for ourselves. PROK will take it upon ourselves to speak out against the sin of unlimited economic growth in our nation of Korea and the other developed nations, which ignores the needs of the earth and the other nations. We will speak out against the structures and economic systems that lead to this situation of pain and loss, and we will work to rebuild a world based on life, justice and hope.
As we spend the next days here, we want to hear and learn from you and be among you in the service of the God of life. May his peace be with you all. Amen.
